Georgia Shasta Gathering Has Invited Other Vintage Trailers

October 11-14, 2012  at McKinney Campground is the location of a Shasta gathering. An invitation has been extended out to other brands of vintage trailers as well. 

The area, in the campground, that is designated for the vintage camper gathering, is sites numbered near the teens and 20's. The campground is located on Lake Allatoona, about an hour North of Atlanta Georgia. So, make your reservations soon and get those vintage campers rolling to McKinney. Organized activities such as social gatherings for desserts and drinks on Friday night,Pot-Luck meal on Saturday, Tour of Trailers on Sat., Campfire, and Sunday Brunch are being planned.
The Fall temperatures and the leaves changing colors will make this an ideal time for  camping in Georgia. If you live in the Atlanta area, or just want a little get away, plan on getting your  camping reservations made soon. Plan ahead:1)  Bring an appetizer or dessert to share for Friday night 2) Bring a Crock-Pot item or a Covered Dish to share for the meal on Saturday night 3)Plan to bring a Brunch Type Item to share for Sunday at 10:30 4)If you want to bring vintage items to sell, at a table ,that are camping related or vintage trailer parts- be thinking ahead. 5) If you have any yard games, like bean bag toss, badminton, croquet, lawn darts bring them along. We all had a great time last year at McKinney, so lets meet up and do it again.  Be sure to bring along your camping chairs to the socials and paper plates, plastic utensils. No pavilion is available.

--We're looking at some sort of activity, a little mixer style event, something like horseshoes, bolo toss, bean bag toss etc etc.

Friday Oct 12 7pm Campfire/Drinks/Social Hour?
-- Bring your own drinks and maybe a desert of some sort to share

Saturday Oct 13 9am Activity
--print rally T-shirts (or other smooth cotton items)

Saturday Oct 13 12pm Trailer Tour
--Like last year, tour of trailers

Saturday Oct 13 3pm Swap Meet/Campsite Sale
--We would like to have a little sale, try and limit the items to Camping Gear, Vintage Anything, Camper Parts, Items used for staging trailers/decorating etc etc. Not looking to see your Danielle Steel book collection etc.

Saturday Oct 13 6 pm Pot-Luck Dinner
--This was a big success last year, we have more than enough food. Like to see that response again this year. So get practicing with your crock pots (don't forget the liners), fire up the grill, or just bring something yummy. (as time gets closer and we have a better list of folks going ill try and organize folks to different food categories (so we don't have 1 entree and 27 deserts)
