Set Up A Vintage Trailer Awning by Kristi To Enjoy

Have you been day dreaming of April showers and springtime flowers? Spring 2015 camping season is creeping up on us. So if you have also been dreaming of  owning a Vintage Trailer Awning by Kristi, it is time to turn your dream into a reality. Increase your living space by adding a vintage trailer awning, so you can enjoy camping even when it is raining. When the temperature starts to warm up, an awning reduces the heat inside the trailer and protects curtains and upholstery from fading. Under a Vintage Trailer Awning by Kristi there is protection from harmful UV radiation, plus the marine grade awning fabric is breathable for  comfortable airflow. Do you have springtime camping rallies on your schedule to attend? Wouldn't it be nice to have a  vintage trailer awning to set up and enjoy?

Email me some pictures of your Vintage Trailer Awnings by Kristi when you are all set up camping.

Be Sure To Comparison Shop, Not Just Price Shop.

Don't be shy about requesting an awning estimate from Vintage Trailer Awnings by Kristi. It only takes a minute to inquire, and you will receive a quick reply. Price shopping is a necessary part of the process.  See if an awning  purchase is affordable for you now, or if you need to  continue saving up for a while. There is no need to select a fabric, from my inventory, for this initial inquiry. My marine grade awning fabric pattern selections are constantly changing, so wait until you are ready to order an awning, and then see what fabric patterns are available.
An awning purchase is a big decision, and vintage trailer awnings are not all made the same, so be sure to comparison shop, not just price shop.
Please note: 54" Outdoor fabric is upholstery fabric intended for outdoor furniture cushions and pillows, not awnings. Vintage Trailer Awnings by Kristi uses marine grade awning fabric only.

Inquire at      for an awning estimate.

These are the current patterns available as of April 2015:

Awnings That Have Proven the Test Of Time

Over the years Vintage Trailer Awnings by Kristi have proven the test of time. The marine grade awning fabric, marine grade cording, custom made edge binding and weatherproof thread, have endured the harsh punishments nature has subjected them to. The reinforced design, of  Vintage Trailer Awnings by Kristi, also adds to the resiliency of the awnings, and their ability to tolerate heavy wind and pouring  rain. These awnings were crafted with the serious camper in mind; one who doesn't flinch at formidable weather forecasts, but loves the outdoors and everything it has to offer. Established in 2007, gaining in notoriety, and as a reputable business ever since.

The underside of this Vintage Trailer Awning by Kristi shows the facings that surround the underside for added structure and reinforcement. A marine grade pull cord, covered in marine strength awning fabric, is keeping with the vintage design.
However, I do also offer an optional vinyl welt, for those who are not trying to obtain the retro appearance.

A Charming Job Title

As many of you already know, "The Awning Lady" has been on my business cards, my Blogs, and my Google profile descriptions for  many years. I have even written a short story entitled  The Awning Lady. It is what I have always been called at vintage trailer rallies, have claimed, and accepted as a charming job title. I have always been and will continue to be The Awning Lady.

The Value Is Obvious To The Educated Consumer

Have you researched the retail price per yard of marine grade awning fabric lately? Have you compiled a supply list, and calculated the cost of purchasing the necessary weather resistant supplies for making a vintage trailer awning? Have you considered the type of sewing machine necessary to power through heavy awning fabric using thick, weather resistant, thread? Do you  know how to install a grommet? Do you know how to mange the weight and bulk of the awning fabric while sewing? How valuable is your time? After answering  these questions, you may want to reconsider attempting to make your own awning! The value of a Vintage Trailer Awning by Kristi, will become more apparent, once you have become an educated consumer. By purchasing my awning supplies in large quantities, I am able to greatly reduce the cost per yard of the fabric, plus save on bulk shipping,  thereby passing the savings on to my customers.
Yes, you do have to consider the cost of labor. However, every year, I am contacted by someone who purchased fabric, planning to make their own awning, and now are in a dilemma. They either bought the wrong type of fabric, not enough fabric, or decided they didn't have a clue what they were doing. 54" wide fabric is outdoor upholstery fabric, not intended for awnings, but rather for outdoor furniture and pillows. It generally is only vibrant on one side, and is not 9.25 weight for strength and durability.
So, consider the obvious value of a professionally made, quality constructed, Vintage Trailer Awning by Kristi                                 Contact me at

Leave The Craftsmanship Up To Me

Relax and leave the craftsmanship up to me, The Awning Lady. You can have confidence in the quality of the workmanship, from my many years of awning making experience. Expect the best; knowing that I only use marine grade awning fabric that is equally vibrant on both sides of the woven fabric, is resistant to rain, stain, tears, mildew, plus is a breathable fabric for comfortable air flow, will not crack along fold lines like vinyl, and has UV protection against harmful radiation, fading and rotting. Also know that your awning will be sewn with weather resistant, strong, #69 Nylon thread, which will not deteriorate from exposure to the elements.  Even the custom made edge binding, on the scalloped valances, is marine grade awning fabric. So leave your worries behind, and let me create a custom vintage trailer awning that you can enjoy for years to come. Vintage Trailer Awnings by Kristi
