10' x 8' Grey Beige Chip Fancy Awning in Progress

I am presently working on an awning made from Sunbrella marine grade awning fabric, in the pattern Grey/Beige/Chip Fancy Stripe. This inventory awning will be a 10' x 8' size.

There will be grey Sunbrella braid trim on the scalloped valances, a vinyl welt that slides into a c-channel awning rail with a 3/8" diameter opening on the end, three brass grommets, and facings on the underside for added structure and reinforcement for the grommets.
This time of year I generally make vintage trailer awnings, using up my remnants of Sunbrella awning fabric. I go through the 2018 inventory, preparing for the next arrival of fabric for 2019.

All slide into a c-channel awning rail with a 3/8" diameter on the end.
The arched awning needs a straight/level rail for at least 7 1/2'

My Latest Project is another VW Arched Awning

My latest project is another V W Bus Awning. This Westfalia has a luggage rack, so I need to attach the Volkswagen awning a little differently to the rain gutter. This is an arched awning, with shock poles for extra height underneath and incline for rain run-off.

The 7/16" diameter shock poles are cut to fit each individual arched awning. They ship in a separate box with the rain gutter pole. The price will vary by zip code due to the poles with attachments. The awning ships in a medium flat rate USPS priority mail box which is $18.00 with insurance.

Almost done. Today I fitted the shock poles and tomorrow I will sew on the tie-strap, to secure where the poles cross. Last, I will be placing the grommets.

Next Inventory Awning In Progress

The next inventory awning in progress is an 8' x 8' arched awning. This awning will be made from Manhattan Classic marine grade awning fabric with Sunbrella Black braid trim on the scalloped valances.

I made one for a Honey Vendor out of this pattern.

The arched awnings come with shock poles, which provide extra height underneath and incline for rain off.
Vendors like them because the awning will be taut without staked out lines. It will still need to be anchored. When setting up on concrete, like many Vendors due, they use weighted, decorative props on the tie-down lines.#inventoryawning
